Goal of LPPS Family Resource Center:

The goal of the Family Resource Center is to provide resources that will assist, guide, support, and engage families with their children’s education.

Services offered: 
  • Certified teacher on staff to assist parents
  • Workbooks/worksheets on skills taught in the classroom
  • Special needs information
  • Workshops/training
  • ACT Prep materials 
  • List of of fee-based tutoring services available by:
    • Visiting the Family Resource Center, the list is on file there.

    • Hourly rates range from $15.00 - $40.00 per hour.
  • Educational Materials for loan (Ages Pre-K – 5th grade) such as CDs, DVDs, games, puzzles, electronics, books, and worksheets are available to reinforce such skills as follows:        
    • Language Arts:
      • Phonemic awareness
      • Phonics
      • Fluency
      • Comprehension
      • High frequency words
      • Reading skills such as main idea, inferencing, predicting, drawing conclusions, and using context clues
    • Math:
      • Basic facts
      • Shapes, numbers, and color recognition
      • Fractions
      • Patterns
      • Time
      • Money
      • Measurement
